HVAC Contractor Pensacola FL
Your Neighbor’s Go-To for Heat and AC Since 2008

When your AC quits at 3pm in August, you don’t need a lecture about BTUs and SEER ratings. You need cold air. Fast. KadeCo Inc has been fixing broken air conditioners and heaters for Pensacola families since before the Cordova Mall renovation, and we’ve learned that people care about two things: showing up when we say we will and fixing it right the first time.

Last July, we got 47 calls in one day from the East Hill neighborhood. Every house built in the 1960s with those old Trane units decided to give up at the same time. We ran three crews until midnight because Mrs. Patterson on 12th Avenue had her grandson visiting from Michigan, and the poor kid wasn’t ready for Florida summer without AC. That’s just what you do when you’re part of this community.

Air Conditioning Repair That Actually Happens Same-Day

Your AC doesn’t break on your schedule. It breaks when your in-laws are visiting or right before your kid’s birthday party. We run trucks seven days a week in Pensacola because we’ve lived through enough summers here to know that “tomorrow” isn’t an option.

The most common problems we see? Frozen evaporator coils from dirty filters (people forget about those), capacitors that fail in the heat, and refrigerant leaks that start small and get expensive. If your AC is blowing warm air or making sounds like a dying pelican, we can usually diagnose it over the phone and bring the right parts with us.

KadeCo Inc keeps the most common replacement parts for Pensacola homes on every truck. Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem – we stock them all because waiting three days for a part to ship from Mobile isn’t fair to you. Our air conditioning repair techs live in Gulf Breeze, Perdido Key, and right here in downtown Pensacola. They know which neighborhoods have well water (hard on coils), which subdivisions got the builder-grade units that fail at year 12, and which streets still have the old electrical panels that can’t handle modern AC units.

We fixed over 800 air conditioners last summer alone. The average repair took us 90 minutes from phone call to cold air. Not because we rush – because we’ve done this enough times to know what we’re looking at.

Furnace Repair for Those Five Weeks We Actually Need Heat

Pensacola winters are weird. It’s 75 degrees on Tuesday, then 38 on Thursday morning. Your furnace sits unused for ten months, then you need it to fire up perfectly on that one cold night in January. Doesn’t always work that way.
Gas furnaces are pretty reliable, but the pilot lights go out, thermocouples fail, and those electronic ignition systems get finicky. Electric heat strips burn out. Heat pumps (which most Pensacola homes have) develop refrigerant issues or reversing valve problems. We’ve seen it all, fixed it all, and we can usually tell what’s wrong based on what neighborhood you’re in and what year your house was built.

The Scenic Highway corridor has a lot of homes with original 1980s heat pumps. Those things are tanks, but when they finally quit, they quit hard. Cordova Park and the newer subdivisions off Nine Mile Road mostly have builder-grade units that need attention around year 10. East Pensacola Heights has everything from old gas packs to new mini-splits.

Our furnace repair service covers natural gas, propane, electric, and heat pump systems. We carry igniters, thermostats, flame sensors, and blower motors on the trucks because those are what fail most often. If it’s something bigger like a cracked heat exchanger, we’ll tell you straight up whether repair makes sense or if you’re throwing money at a system that’s done.

KadeCo Inc doesn’t do the sales pressure thing. If your 22-year-old furnace needs a $400 repair and might give you three more years, we’ll fix it. If that same furnace needs $1,200 in parts and will probably fail again next winter, we’ll tell you that too. You’re the one writing the check – you get to decide.

HVAC System Installation Done Right the First Time

Installing a new HVAC system in Pensacola isn’t like other places. The humidity kills undersized units. The salt air from the Gulf corrodes cheap coils. Those afternoon thunderstorms stress electrical components. You need a system sized right for Gulf Coast weather and installed by people who understand how moisture moves through a house down here.

We do a full load calculation on every installation – not the quick version based on square footage, but the real deal that accounts for insulation, window direction, ceiling height, and how many west-facing windows you’ve got soaking up afternoon sun. An oversized AC won’t dehumidify properly. An undersized one will run constantly and still not keep up in August.

The permits and inspections in Pensacola are pretty straightforward, but they matter. We pull permits on every HVAC system installation, run the line sets properly, pressure-test everything, and make sure the condensate drains actually drain (you’d be surprised how many don’t). Our installations include proper equipment pads, whole-system warranties, and we register everything with the manufacturer so your warranty is actually valid.

Most of our installs in Pensacola are replacing 12-20 year old systems. The new stuff is so much more efficient that people see the difference on the first electric bill. We install Trane, Carrier, Lennox, and American Standard – all good brands that hold up in coastal conditions. The right brand for your house depends on your budget, how long you plan to stay in the home, and whether you want the fancy smart thermostat features.

Installation usually takes one long day or two shorter days depending on the setup. We protect your floors, haul away the old equipment, test everything twice, and show you how to work the new thermostat before we leave. KadeCo Inc has installed over 300 complete systems in the Pensacola area, and we’ve learned that doing it right costs about the same as doing it fast – you just have to care enough to take the extra time.

AC Installation for New Construction and Additions

Building new or adding on? The AC installation needs to happen at the right point in construction, after the drywall but before the trim work usually. We work with most of the builders in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, and we know the inspection schedule.

New construction AC installation is different than replacement work. You’re designing the whole system from scratch – where the vents go, how many returns you need, whether to zone it, if you want a dehumidifier built in. The builders around here mostly want to hit a price point, which sometimes means undersized units or minimal duct work. We’ll do what the plans say, but we’ll also tell you if those plans are gonna leave you with hot bedrooms and high electric bills.

Additions are trickier. Sometimes you can extend the existing system, sometimes you need a separate unit. Depends on how much capacity you have left and how far the addition is from the main unit. We’ve added onto systems, installed mini-splits for Florida rooms, and put in complete second systems for major additions. The right answer depends on your specific situation.

Heating Repair When the Temperature Actually Drops

Three weeks a year, Pensacola remembers it’s not actually the tropics. When that happens, heating systems that have been sitting idle since March suddenly need to work. A lot of them don’t.

The most common heating repair calls we get are heat pumps stuck in cooling mode (reversing valve issue), gas furnaces that won’t ignite (usually the igniter or flame sensor), and electric heat strips that only work on some stages. We also get a lot of “it runs but doesn’t heat” calls, which are usually refrigerant leaks on heat pumps or duct leaks letting the warm air escape into the attic.

Emergency heating repair in Pensacola means something different than up north. It rarely gets cold enough long enough to be dangerous, but try telling that to someone from Pensacola when it’s 35 degrees. We run service calls during cold snaps even though half the time it’s a tripped breaker or a thermostat set wrong. The other half, it’s a real problem that needs real parts.

KadeCo Inc keeps heat pump reversing valves, defrost boards, and common furnace parts stocked because supply houses close at 5pm and cold fronts don’t wait. Our heating repair service covers everything from troubleshooting why your heat pump is blowing cold air to replacing failed heating elements in electric furnaces.

We also do a lot of “heat stopped working” calls that turn out to be frozen heat pumps. When it’s 32 degrees and humid, heat pumps build up ice on the outdoor coil. They’re supposed to defrost automatically, but the defrost cycle fails sometimes. We can fix the defrost system or, if you just need heat right now, bypass it temporarily and come back when parts arrive.
